I suspected that that might be the reason, but what you're talking about is just the difference between "cheating" during a game as opposed to both between & during games. If people want to cheat (which can already be done) with their teams, they can do it more efficiently between games anyway (perhaps ultimately, at their own enjoyment loss).

The examples that I gave would not constitute cheating (IMO), but would be used to improve the game and correct mistakes - to help us to help you. Since people can already "cheat" if they are so inclined (between games), I don't think that you are gaining a whole lot by preventing it during a game.

I submit to you that there would be less inclination to cheat during a game precisely because it is during a game - people want to finish their game. It would be more appropriate during a game to use it just occasionally for the examples given.

Have said all this, suppose that you are completely correct. If someone has paid you for a copy of the game, would it be so bad to allow them to "fix" some of the data if that gives them more enjoyment? Commissioner mode is only available to a user in solo leagues, so no one else is harmed by the editing changes (since online leagues actually have a real commissioner).

On balance, preventing in-game editing does not prevent cheating, but it makes spur-of-the-moment improvements/corrections more difficult. By allowing in-game editing, I think you are getting more good stuff than allowing bad stuff.

Either way, I appreciate your considerable efforts and your attention to people's comments. At worst, I'll continue to write down editing improvements/corrections on a sheet of paper and make them between games - and still consider myself fortunate to have an opportunity to play & enjoy this game!
