I sort of do the same thing excep i also do a five year waiting period.
Also im trying to work out a system awarding players points for however many runs he scored or hr hit over a career, subtracting for wals given up & errors. Extra points for all-star appearances, post season mvps and cy youngs etc.
Of course i would seperate pitchers and hitters and i dont think i should use the same scale for points for all eras.
At least this way i wont have a Dave Kingman or Jose Canesco in my hall. Cause your gonna have to more than 3,000 hits or 500 homeruns. In my opinion one category does not make a hall of famer.
