SSG: Yes, in a deadball era, I can see where a light BA might be overlooked...but my UBA started in 1931, in the midst of "Baseball's Rebirth" and which is now nearing the end (preparing for the '55 season) of "The Golden Years", during which time batting averages tended to be on the high side. (And since I am lucky if I have two teams with ERAs under 4.00 I guess it is following the historical trends correctly).
