The Joy in Mudville League All-Star Game is going north of the border.
For the first time in league history, the Midsummer Classic will be held in Canada. Jarry Park, home of the Montreal Expos, will host this year's game.
With the annual series tied at one game each, this year's winning team will give its league bragging rights in the annual exhibition tilt.
Tim L, manager of the defending JIM champion Cincinnati Reds, will manage the National League All-Stars. The American Leaguers will be managed by Bob B of the Oakland A's.
The NL is expected to name Houston right-hander Ken Forsch as its starter. The AL will most likely start Baltimore left-hander Jon Matlack.
A record nine Houston Astros were named to the NL team. The previous mark was six representatives held jointly by St. Louis and Pittsburgh.
