The work around I have been using is to load the game up at the office before I leave with a connection and then put the laptop to sleep. If the game is already running, there are no problems.

The main point that I was trying to make, is that I shouldn't have to come up with work arounds to play a game that I purchased. This type of copy protection only harms your loyal paying customers... I also wanted to make sure that the OOTP team recieved feedback about the issue so that they would make it priority to fix in the next release.
