The Mighty Atom and Muckboys Promotions do not take a rest and have chosen another top-rated prospect for a return to the ring. While most fighters and handlers would take an easy fight to pad the record or regain some confidence, Wilde and his trainers want to fight the best. Maurice Hope is another in the line of exceptional young, prospects from the U.K., specifically England, making their professional debuts in 1955. Hope seems to have taken the first three rounds with his efficient punching and effective defense. A close 6th, 11-8, for Wilde, may be his only good round of the fight. A left hook puts Wilde down in the 7th. A huge combination drops Wilde again in the 8th. 21-10, Wilde in the 9th, but he is so far behind now that he may need a knockout.
