Nigerian Boxing Board of Control Championship
NBBoC Title Fight - Togo, Nigeria
[Champion] Duncan Dokiwari, Nigeria, 21-5-0 (20) vs Bash Ali, Nigeria, 14-5-1 (8)
Bash Ali has been inactive for a good deal after making waves in the ICBA region earlier in his career. He will have to use his good boxing skills and stay away from Dokiwari's punching power if he is going to have any chance at all tonight. The champion hurts Ali in the first, out slugs him in the 2nd and 4th. Ali landed better in the 3rd, 8-6. Ali comes alive in the 5h, 15-2, as he gets in and out and lands effectively from the outside. Dokiwari is cutting off the ring much better and scores consistently in the 6th and 7th rounds. Ali hurts the champ with a one-two combination that actually had Dokiwari staggering back into the ropes in the 9th, but the champ comes back with a 15-9, 10th. Ali puts the champ down for a two count in the 11th round. 27-9, Dokiwari in the 12th as he seems to have not only recovered but been pissed off from the knockdown. A straight right puts Ali down in the 14th. Ali survives the 22-4 round, but only has one more round to try to win this fight. A combination to the head and body puts Dokiwari down in the middle of the 15th round. The champ gets up at the count of eight and manages to survive the round, 22-9. We go to the cards in this great fight!
