Fightnews is now reporting that the WBA has just named Kessler as the #1 contender for Anthony Mundines' SMW strap. Having already soundly beaten Mundine in his own back yard for the same title some three years ago, definitely like Mikkels' chances of a repeat performance.

Can't help but think that Kessler may have gotten wind of the title shot, and didn't want to risk anything against a potentially dangerous opponent like Miranda. (Although, I would have picked Mikkel to win via KO 8).
