I'm sure that I'm just being stupid, but my first attempt at playing a game has failed so far.

I'm following the abbreviated "Jump right in!' instructions in the manual (ootpb8_manual.pdf), I get to the Historical League Creation Wizard, then click 'Start Game', I get a 'saving database' window, the a popup that says, "You have received a personal message!".

I see no choice except to read and/or delete the messages, "Job offer from <team>".

Once I've finished with the messages window, I don't see a way to actually start the game.

Could someone please give me a pointer?
