I think you mean there's a
positive correlation between BB/9 and K/9.
This one has been bothering me a lot lately. I'm tired of seeing guys with 20+ k/bb ratios for the year pop up so often. It has never happened for a starter in real baseball. I'm also tired of seeing guys who give up like 5 homers in 200+ innings in the modern era. What gives? That's incredibly rare nowadays.
I've said before that, in general, the game produces too many top-level players. When I ran HOF Standards and HOF Monitor numbers on my league, the difference between my league and real life was staggering. And that was just for hitters. For pitchers, it seems worse. They are way too consistent.
