Reluctantly, I must agree: that no ace goes 3C anymore (which would be INSANE) is mostly a product of the game's success. Why take the risk?
Still, there's a nascent school of thought (Mel Stottlemyre, etc) that likes to drag boys deeper into games, if, at least in theory, to mitigate what is perceived as hitter strengths and the generalized nonspecific environment of a particular game.
Nowadays, though, with millions at stake, you'd have to be nucking futz to let a dude cut his career that much shorter.
