Wohlgemuth successful in first defence
German IBF Welterweight champion Udo Wohlgemuth (23-0-0 [15]) made an impressive first defence of his title with a 5th round TKO against former WBC Lightweight champion Raul Meddelin (31-8-1). Wohlgemuth, who is not known for his punching power, is the first boxer to stop Meddelin, although the Cuban fighter has aged since his short stint at the top of the Lightweight division.
