Excalibur, Las Vegas, NV, USA. Howard makes the trip across the pond to the glitz and glamour of the strip in Las Vegas. The first two rounds are pretty close, both fighters landing effective punches. Neither fighter is separating himself. Rampage explodes in the 4th but Howard closes late, 22-15, Jackson. The 5th is good for Rampage, 24-12. Both boxers are exchanging and not much defense is being shown, 22-14, Rampage in the 6th. Howard, 19-13, in the 7th. Jackson has some swelling developing around the left eye. The eighth is an even round, 15-15. Endurance will play a factor in this fight as both men have a high punch rate per round. Jackson applies pressure in the 10th and puts the visitor down for the first time in the fight at the end of the round. An uppercut puts Howard down again at the end of the 11th. Howard keeps coming forward as he seems to have recovered from the two knockdowns. The fight has been full of exchanges from both fighters and the knockdowns could be the difference in the fight. Oh, Howard puts Jackson down in the middle of the 14th. That may have closed the scoring in the fight. We go to the last round. This has been a tremendous fight. Jackson clearly takes the last round, 19-4. We will go to the cards.
