It all depends on what my team has besides that pitcher/hitter. I believe a solid starter is always going to be more valuble than a hitter, especially if you have a few guys who can fill the job adequately in the line up. Also if the hitter is in the tail end of his career, you probably come out ahead getting the arm in your arsenal.
