The Hickory Baseball League is looking for an owner for the New York Yankees.
The Yankees made the World Series last year, so this is a very good team. Some highlights:
- Robert Blakey: One of the best power hitters in league history. Still relatively young, and poised to make a run at the all-time HR record for the league.
- Glenn Lasagabaster: Last year's rookie of the year. Has the best name in the league. Dubbed "the chosen one" based on nothing but his last name.
- Edgar Pivonka: Only 26 years old, perennial 30 homer, 100 RBI, 100 run player. The best young player in the game.
- Dominic Wynkoop: Another young player, this guy has won multiple Cy Young awards at only 26 years old. Easily one of the top 3 pitchers in the American League.
- 6th ranked minor league system in the league.
Thats really just the beginning. This is a really good team.
