7 straight all star games while playing in Montreal. It's an overrated award, but surely that should say something about how he was viewed at the time.
On a side note, the more I look into it, the more amazed I am at the similarities between Dave Parker and Jim Rice. They had incredibly similar careers, even down to the way they were perceived during their own time.
