I recently installed a new anit-virus software program and after running this program anytime I clicked on the Ootp5, Ootp4, or Ootp3 shortcuts or even clicking directly on their programs the "Invalid Data" appears and I cant run the games.
So naturally I uninstalled that anti-virus program immediately knowing what my priorities were

and tested each game again and I still got the same message "Invalid Data". Then I figured that the antivirus program messed up my games. I uninstalled Ootp5 and redownloaded it, installed it, and tested it. It didnt work. I then decided to put the patch in just for the hell of it. It fixed the problem, I could run the game. Til I restarted my computer and tried it again. It wouldnt work, so I put the patch on again and it fixed it.
Now the question is. Why does restarting my computer seem to mess it up?
I would guess that resetting my registry to before I installed the antivirus software might fix this problem. I dont remember how to get into the registry to accomplish this.
I have a Gateway with Windows 98SE if anyone can help me with this situation I would appreciate it
