Kim Chul Ho of South Korea fought to a 15-round draw with Raul Valdez of Mexico today to retain his World Boxing Council super-flyweight title.
The Italian and Mexican judges scored the fight 145-145; the Korean judge scored it 148-146 in favor of the champion.
A capacity crowd of about 8,000 saw the bout at Chungmu Gymnasium.
Long live the NY Times Archive!
Edit: Chungmu Gym has been 8,000 in TB 2.5 all along, got it momentarily confused with the Chungmu Art House (Cap: 1,000). Much ado about nothing . . . moving right along . . .
