Corrupt database preventing access to league

One of the owners in my league is experiencing a problem with the latest version of the league file I sent out. After installing it on his computer and attempting to load the league he gets this error message: "The loading of the database failed. It is either corrupt or a save-game from an old version." The other owners in the league aren't having any problems with the new file.

I ran a search on the forums here and came up with a plethora of threads on this topic. Unfortunately, not one of them had a solution. So I'm starting a new thread to see if the issue can generate some attention and hopefully be solved once and for all.

The owner in question hasn't had any trouble with files I've sent out in the past. He's using the Mac version of OOTP 2007 v2.0.3.68. I sent out the latest file using OOTP 8 v8.0.0.13 (the first time I used this version for an export). He's not 100% sure but believes the crash is occurring during the loading of Names.dat - it so happens this last export was the first where I didn't include Names.dat in the file.

The owner also noticed that if he loaded a previous (working) version of the league file and then tried to load the new file, the load process would reach the 100% ("Finalizing") stage before failing with this message: "Could not load game! The database is corrupt."

I'll leave it as this for now. If you need any additional info, post it here and I'll pass the question on to the owner.
