In September of 2000 I went to one of the last games played by the now-defunct Aberdeen Arsenal of the independent Atlantic League. The paid attendence was something like 75 at a little community college field. Their opponent that night was the Nashua Pride, and their DH was Sam Horn. I don't remember what he did that night, but he looked like he'd put on a few pounds since his days with the O's - that 6'5", 250 listed on BaseballReferece.com was definitely a little low. He also looked like he'd still have trouble beating Dom DeLuise in a 50 yard dash.
This got me motivated, and I just looked up the Nashua Pride, and Sam was still with them last year. He hit .295-13-47 as their DH.
