As for his speed ratings, that's something that Erich would need to speak to. When I looked up Wood's stats on the Baseball Cube, I see that he is very efficient stealing bases. He swipes them like Barry Larkin did. The speed rating might be a way to reflect his proficiency in stealing. |
I was under the impression that the steal rating was for SB profiecency- and that speed dictated the frequency of attempts. So wood maybe would be a 50 or 55 for speed and perhaps an 80 as a stealing rating.....Perhaps that assertion is incorrect- but that has been my experience. Thanks for looking into it in any case. (You guys getting hammered by the snow like we are over here in Bellbrook?)
