ALBUQUERQUE WRAPS UP FIRST SPRING TRAINING
Albuquerque Journal
April 2, 2011
Sure they finished their first spring Training record with an unimpressive 10-14 record.
Sure Joe Saunders lead the team in strikeouts. So what, he also lead the team in walks and had the highest ERA.
Sure Scott Olsen won the #4 starter spot. So what’s the big deal? He walked into Spring Training being told the closers job was his to lose. Well he didn’t lose the job, he just never won it.
Sure…well you get the idea.
These are pains with being an expansion team. Sometimes you end up with more questions than answers in life. While no one expects the Regulators to win 100 games. It is safe to say the 1962 New York Mets record for futility is safe. I think it’s safe to say this team should win at least 40 games. Time will tell exactly how many games they will win.
