Blue Jays Open Up Spring Training

The Toronto Blue Jays and new GM Ryan Stewart descended on Dunedin Florida the sight of the Blue Jays Spring Training Facilities today as the preperations for the 2007 Season officially get underway.

GM Ryan Stewart was there earily as were a number of new faces trying to make a good impression on the new GM. The Jays made a number of moves in the offseason and will have a few new faces in the lineup come Opening Day in April. GM Ryan Stewart on the offseason transactions "We wern't able to do everything I want to, for instance I couldn't get a #4 or 5 starter that wouldn't cost us too much in a trade or a draft pick but I am happy with the changes otherwise"

New faces this season include C Johnny Miller, LF Vince Barker and CL John McDonald. All 3 will have a legitimate shot at making the opening day roster and joining the team when they head north to Toronto at the end of March.
