Title Fight
FW - Oscar Gardner (CH) (26-6-1) gets a controversial DQ1 win over Benny Yanger (8/14) (24-4) to retain the WBA FW crown for the second time.
20 seconds into the fight the two clashed heads and ref Carlos Berrocal ruled it intentional and without warning stopped the fight. Berrocal was unavailable for comment after the fight. Berrocal is known as a lenient ref and this was the first bout he had ever DQ'd someone.
The commissioner (me) has ordered an immediate rematch which will take place next month.
