American League Defeats National League 3-1

July 10th, 2012.

The annual Allstar game was held in Coors Field in Colorado today and the American League managed to pull out a 3-1 victory. SP Rob "Moby Dick' Gordon from the Chicago White Sox got the start for the American League and the National League countered with Atlanta Braves Ace SP Bob 'Steady' Davis. Neither pitcher would figure in the decision but both went 3 innings and did not allow a run. There was no score until the bottom of the 5th inning when with Pittsburgh Pirates C Ken Garrett on 2B after a double 3B Patrick Hannington of the San Francisco Giants doubled to LF with 2 outs off of Texas Rangers CL Benedict Garrett to put the NL up 1-0. The score would remain 1-0 until the top of the 8th when RF Ricardo Rodriguez of the Chicago White Sox homered off of CL Ronaldo Alexander of the Milwaukee Brewers to tie the score. C Bobby O'Lornasay from the Minnesota Twins was up next and he doubled to RF. The National League than changed pitchers brining in CL Eugene Adams of the New York Mets to face 1B Artie Dean from the Cleveland Indians. Dean proptly deposited a 2-2 curve ball 430 ft into center field to put the American League on top 3-1. That is the Way the game would finish as Seattle Mariners CL Sherman Padgett came on in the 9th and worked a 1-2-3 inning. CL Pablo Silva of the Minnesota Twins was credited witht he victory and CL Eugene Adams from the Mets took the loss. Seattle's CL Sherman Padgett recorded the save.
