Blue Jays Reliever Injured, Status Day-to-Day

June 11th, 2011.

The Toronto Blue Jays will be without MR Al Clarke who was injured with what team doctors are calling a tneder shoulder. Clarke was injured in yesterday's 7-4 victory over the Minnesota Twins. He threw a pitch in the 8th inning and felt a twinge in his arm and was immeadiately removed from the game and examined by team doctors. He is expected to be out for a few days and is currently listed as day-to-day. GM Ryan Stewart was asked if he will be placed on the disabled list "We don't think so. There doesn't appear to be any structural damage and he is not in a lot of pain. We will give him a few days off to see if his strenght comes back and if it doesn't we will be forced to make a decision then"

In 2011 Clark has pitched in 20 games and compiled an ERA of 3.27 he has pitched 30.1 innings struckout 30 and walked 6 with 2 saves. This is the second time ths season that he has been injured. He was sidelined in late March with a tender shoulder and missed the last 2 weeks of spring training.
