Montero Selected as AL's #1 Newcomer

One of the American Leagues brightest newcomers, LF Felipe Montero was at the head of his class in April as he picked up the American League Rookie of the Month Award.

In April the rookie LF hit .358 with 4 HR and 12 RBI. It marks the second consecutive year that a Blue Jays rookie outfielder wins the April Rookie of the Month Award as last season RF Alonso Martinez took home the April Rookie of the Month Award as well as the Rookie of the Year Award for the American League.
