Thanks jtb,
That is how I like to build my teams is around good pitching. I got really lucky with SP Raul Ruiz. I wasn't going to draft him I was going to take a 19 year old SP who I thought had better potential but my head scout recommended him and I took a flier on him and boy has it paid off. This is the first time in all of my years of OOTPB that I have had one of my prospects rise to the majors so fast and dominate at every level like he did. The 19 year old I was looking at was drafted 3 picks later by the Cleveland Indians and is still in AA while Ruiz is in the majors and is a legitimate CY Young contender. I also got lucky in the trade that brought SP Jose Robles in. He was basically a throw in because I needed an arm to fil my #5 starter spot in the rotation since I traded SP Francisco Romero. He has been the perfect #5 starter for me the last 2 years and is actually outperformong his ratings (he has ratings of 6/6/7 and to date this season is 8-0! on draft day 2011). The other pitcher I got in the Francisco Romero trade Sp Andy Simmons also looks like he could be a 1-2 guy and is in AAA right now. Look for him to make an appearance in the next year or two, he is still young only 21 so he still has some time left to develop.
