Great Week for Toronto C Hugh Edwards

April 11th, 2010.

Over the past week C Hugh Edwards has feasted on American League pitching. Today the Blue Jays catcher gobbled up the first American League Player of the Week Award of 2011.

Edwards swung the bat with purpose all week as he collected a .529 BA with 9 hits in 17 AB, 4 HR 6 RBIs and 5 runs scored.

He has helped his club get off to a great start. The Jays are 6-0 after back-to-back 3 game sweeps of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and New York Yankees at the Rogers Center.
