Blue Jays Set Roster: 2 Rookies Headed to Toronto

April 3rd, 2010.

The Toronto Blue Jays packed up their equipment and headed back to the Rogers Center today and two new Blue Jays will be making the Trip for the first time. MR Sergio Vargas and LF Felipe Montero made the club out of Spring Training and will get a shot to repeat as World Series Champions with the Big Club. GM Ryan Stewart on his decision "It was really hard, particularly the decision in the outfield. We had 3 really talented players competing for 1 spot and in the end we decided on Montero because of his performance in Spring Training as well as being the MVP of the International Leage last season. We are also really happy that Sergio Vargas performed as well as he did in Spring Training he didn't allow a run in 8 2/3 innings and gives us a second lefty out of the bullpen this year he gives us that much more flexibility"
