AL Announces August's Best Starter

September 1st, 2010.

Christian Jacobs hated to see the August turn into September, and who could blame him? The 30 year old hurler piled up 5 wins and 0 losses for the Blue Jays last month and was rewarded with the American League Pitcher of the Month Award.

He fired 61 strikeouts in 50.1 innings of work to go with 4 walks and a 0.89 ERA in 6 starts.

In the Current seaon Jacobs is 17-5 in 27 starts with 250 strikeouts in 213 innings of work and has a 1.86 ERA.
