Blue Jays Get Shutout Win Over Seattle

It was a smooth and solid performance by SP Christian Jacobs of the Toronto Blue Jays agains Stattle Today. He crafted a fine 4-hitter in blanking htem 4-0 and he chalked up 9 strikeouts and 1 walk along the way.

"It certainly makes my job easy" said Blue Jays Manager Tomas Vega. "When my pitcher tosses a shutout I can just sit back, watch and enjoy"

This year Jacobs has a 15-5 mark in 24 starts with a 1.87 ERA and he has given up 135 hits in 188 innings, struckout 223 and issued 24 walkes. Opposing hitters are batting a measly .199 against him.
