Jays Clinch 3rd AL East Title

September 18th, 2009.

The Toronto Blue Jays wrapped up their 3rd consecutive American League East title today with a 5-4 win at home over the New York Yankees. SP Kiminobu Hashimoto got the win to improve to 15-5 on the season and MR Millard Carter closed the game out for his 5th save. 3B Byron Webb had 3 hits including his 20th HR of the season and september callup RF Alonso Martinez was 2-3 with a 2B and single to help the Jays get the victory.
