Sorry if this has been discussed before. I searched and couldn't find anything on it. First of all, I love v.5. Manager mode and the new development algorithms have made things much more challenging.

However there is one thing that continually bugs me. I think I remember it from earlier versions. I sim most of my games and try not to micromanage my minor league system. The computer will substitute lefties (throwers) during games at catcher (haven't seen it at infielder yet). It even will do so when I have 3 players rated at catcher on my roster. It also teaches lefties new positions at 2B,SS,3B in the minors. I know there were lefty catchers in the past, but I can't remember any lefthanded throwing infielders.

I know nothing about programming, so I'm not trying to be a wiseass with this question, but isn't there a way to simply say lefties can't play C,2B,3B,SS? Would that interfere with historical leagues? What logic does the computer use when deciding on in-game substitutions and teaching new positions? Am I missing something to prevent this from happenning?
