I tested this once, very quickly, and reached the conclusion that recovery time was based on Endurance, not on the position (MR, SP) I assigned the player. To call it a test might be an exaggeration- I let an MR start a game, throw 100 pitches, and watched how he recovered day-by-day, then changed him to SP, let him throw 100 pitches, and again watched how he recovered day-by-day, and the recovery rate was identical. Far from comprehensive, but it gave me the impression that the Set Position might have no effect, and that Endurance guides recovery in-game. If anyone has tested this further, I'd be curious about the results.
