Title Bouts
BW (IBF) - Terry Edwards (13/CH) (15-0-2) (pre) won by DQ9 over Dave Sullivan (CH/7) (24-4-1) to win the IBF BW title.
Sullivan was dominating the fight but using rough tactics from the opening bell. He was warned 7 times and penalized twice before the ref had enough.
I had it 78-72 at the stoppage. Good stoppage so no rematch will be ordered.
Fly (CBU) - Jimmy Wilde (UR) (12-0) (pre) continued his unbeaten streak with a TKO9 over Joe Gates (13/14) (17-6). It was Wilde's second defense of the title.
Wilde dominated the action. He cut Gates over the right eye in the 4th and dropped him in the 7th. The cut stopped the fight in the 9th.
I had Wilde up 79-72 at the stoppage.
