All the talks about Igawa over here in Japan is that,
he used to be a pitcher who takes relatively long time between pitches, something like 15~18sec. average.
Now since he went over to the States, he looks like he is rushing to pitches, and is out of his mechanics.
He has never been a great pitcher with a killer "out pitch" over here in Japan. But I (neither a Yankee fan nor Igawa fan

) think he can be way better than what he is now, given some time to rebuild his confidence. He could never be like Hughes, but he could be an effective left handed starting pitcher who could help any team.
