I agree... I just wonder if there is a way to free up the money or increase the (best) offer without having to nix the deal first. If you withdraw, of course, they won't even talk to you.

It is very similar to what David Wells did to the Diamondbacks this past off-season. He made it look like he would sign with them to get Steinbrenner to up the ante. He left AZ at the altar (thank God). I think that does add realism to the game. I am concerned mainly because I have only bid on about 6 #1 or #2 FAs like that in the short time I have had the game, and it happened twice.
