That is funny and sad about Stenson.
I remember when I did my 1962 Mets Dynasty in an old version of OOTP 3, and Ken Hobbs dominated the league for many years and didn't want to spoil the anomaly of the game by finding out who he was, but he died after the 1962 season in a plane crash which explained everything.
It is easy to get immersed in the game.
Russ Branyan in 2010 is the dominant home run hitter in the game. I get so immersed by the game that with the MLB trade deadline in 2007, I am hoping the Mets can land Branyan and then I realize he probably is a .215 hitting loser in AAA somewhere.
The Mets had not played the Pirates all season in MLB until this past week and because of my dynasty which is in 2010, I was all screwed up. I was scared when Nate McLouth came to the plate because he is a 20 homer .300 hitter in my dynasty but then his stats came on the screen and I was like, hmmmm.
Also the Bucs are in the AL in 2010 and are 12 games above .500 so I am thinking they are better than they are.
If you play long enough, reality of baseball becomes very blurred.
