I disagree. I do agree they need a pitcher, and I think Thorman could help in bringing in a Matt Morris-type. Teixeria is a huge upgrade at the position and has a whole year to get healthy.

I also heard it was Davies, along with Andrus and Salty. The question remains: would they be better in just keeping Salty and have him man 1st, or move McCann there and Salty catch? Is this deal even necessary?
