WEEKLY THOUGHTS
What a terrible week. We went 2-5. We lost our best starter, Mark Rogers, for the next 2 weeks. And nobody is interested in Dotel, which means I’m on the hook for the rest of his $5 million salary for the rest of the season. Just great. This season can’t get over soon enough.
We traded Wichita starting pitcher Brandon Duckworth to the Padres for their 4th round selection, 17-year-old starting pitcher Giraldo Ropp. I doubt he’ll develop, but he has an outside chance, which is probably more than Duckworth has right now.
