ROYALS EXTENSION
We signed reliever Steve Stemle to a 1 year extension for $530,000 today. He’s been one of our better relievers, going 2-2 with a 3.26 ERA in 30.1 innings.

We just couldn’t pull this one out. It was a good game for a while. It was tied at 3 until Dotel came in and gave up 2 runs in his third of an inning to raise his ERA to 6.57. I hope someone takes him. He’s not even our closer anymore—he hasn’t been for probably a month or so. Mike Napoli went 2-4 with 2 home runs, 2 runs scored, and 4 RBIs for the Angels.
