If you have the game set to auto adjust league totals modifiers for historical accuracy you will be fine in subsequent seasons. However, it takes at least one full season of play for that function of the game to kick in. If you really want to start in 1960 and play that particular season out game by game, then I suggest doing the initial import in 1957 and quick simming until 1960, by then you will have incredibly accurate league totals ratios.
