Yeah, I get what options/option years are. My question was when does a player turn from being on revocable waivers vs irrervocable waivers.

What you explained makes sense excepts for the fact that, and correct me if I'm wrong, when you send a player down who still HAS options left he does not have to clear waivers at all. He simply goes to AAA or whatever.

So, if I am right who qualifies as revocable and who qualifies for irrevocable?
