After the Gainer knockouts BRown managed a 6 round decision loss to Leroy Caldwell. Then in September and October he won his first two fights, both over Bowie Adams.
From october 1969 thru October 1970 he then lost 9 out of 10 with 1 draw, to Bob Ellis. After two, 8 round decisions dropped to Moses Harrell, he was KO'd in three straight by Jose Roman, Johnny Griffin and Earnie Shavers. Three weeks later in late January 1970 Shavers stopped Brown again by 5th round TKO. That was followed by two more knockout losses to Jim Lee Elder and Jose Roman. All of those knockouts came in the first or second rounds. A coupld of decision losses to Otis Dee(6-1-1,4) and Eddie Peoples(8-0-0,6) sandwiched th draw till Ellis.
Brown then won 3 out of 4 fights through June 1971. We then see a two year gap until May 1973 when Brown fights again, a 6 round decision loss. A 6 year gap then shows in his record in boxrec until a 1st round KO win over Howard Nathaniel in October 1979. That's followed in January 1980 with a 2nd round KO loss to finish up Abe's career.
