Pat Kelly’s three run homer in the first turned out to be just enough for the Royals to beat Boston and sweep the Sox in this three game series. Joe Foy homered in the eight for an insurance run for KC.
Mike Hedlund and Galen Cisco combined to hold the Sox to 5 hits and two runs in the series finale.
