I started a fictional league and played the first season with the coaching and scouting systems in place. After the first season, I turned coaches and scouts off. Since then I have played six seasons and just noticed something. If I go to my manager options, then click on "American" next to my manager's nationality, there is a nation profile. There's also a tab up top that says "coaches from the United States." When I click on this, there are managers, pitching/hitting coaches, and scouts listed. They are all assigned to teams at the major and minor league levels. I believe they're assigned to the teams they were with during the first season. However, when I go to a team's page and then click on the personnel tab, it looks like no coaces are assigned.

So here's my question: Are these coaches having an effect on their teams? For instance, are minor league systems with good pitching coaches assigned to them getting an advantage on developing pitching prospects? Is there a way to truly get rid of coaches and scouts?
