GAME #041 @ Washington W 3-0
WP M. Hedlund (2-3) LP B. Moore (3-2) SV G. Cisco (1)
The Royals jumped out in front with a pair of runs in the first inning on a sacrifice fly from Mike Fiore and an rbi double from Scott Northey. These two runs were more than enough for Mike Hedlund as he went 7 shutout innings. Tom Burgmeier, Jim Rooker and Galen Cisco combined to pitch two scoreless innings to complete the victory.
Offensively, Pat Kelly picked up another hit to give himself a second 10 game hitting streak.

Hedlund kept us off balance, said Washington skipper Mario Valencia. I dont think we had a hard shot off him all night.

TRADING BLOCK
St. Louis is shopping around to see if anyone is interested in 1B Orlando Cepeda. Odds are that not many teams will be clamoring for a first baseman hitting .171 with 2 homers and 9 rbis almost two months into the season. Reports from St. Louis indicate that Cha Cha is extremely angry at this development, although efforts to reach him for comment have not been successful.
The Senators are looking for potential trade partners for pitcher Camilo Pascual, whos been playing for Washingtons AAA affiliate, Lexington Valiants. His season stats are 6 G, 1-0, 2 SV, 3.38 ERA, 5.1 IP, 10 HA, 1 BB, 4 K.
