Weekly Thoughts
Overall, not a great week at all. 2-4 with multiple losses coming while giving up double digit runs. Our pitching staff needs to get back on track. I’m going to make a couple changes and give some of our younger guys a chance. With that said…

We traded MR David Riske to the Phillies today for minor league 2B Hector Made and minor league CF Jorge Padilla. It takes us down to only $500K over budget, and we’ll make room for one of our minor league starting pitchers, Jorge de la Rosa, to come up and allow Dotel to move back to the relief role. He proved he’s been in the relief role too long to be an effective starter again. We also sent down Ryan Braun and brought up Brett Evert, a reliever we got from Milwaukee with Koskie in the Chip Ambres deal.
