Jim and Tom made a great job with designing this game, founding this community and accurately rating several thousand fighters. We truly owe them a debt of gratitude for their long-standing efforts!

Title Bout Championship Boxing version 3 is already in development now! The plan is to release it in 2007. I'm currently giving it a complete overhaul to get a strong basis for the role playing mode, which will be added to the game in this upcoming version. Role playing mode means that you can play the game as a manager. Set up contracts with boxers, manage their training, schedule fights and either try to earn as much money as possible or try to win the championship in one or more divisions. Or try to achieve both

When you start TB3, you can select to play either in the role playing mode or in the "open rules" mode where you can simulate single bouts or replay boxing history, just like you've done in TB2. So the open mode will allow you to continue your current boxing universes and you can start a role playing mode universe anytime! I will add some new features to this open mode, but the main effort will be to add the role playing game as a new, additional part of the game.

There will also be some important technical changes. Most of them are already done. I will revamp the skin, and had to make some important changes to the graphics library to implement some enhanced graphics features.
I will also take care of the problem with the database updates now. I've created an online database on our server, which holds all fighter data, biographies and the fighter ratings. With a single mouse click you can download new and updated data to your database, if you want to do this. It will merge into your database, i.e. it will update your fighter data without changing the record or the stats. The great thing with this feature is that a certain group of people gets a special access key which allows them to *upload* their fighter data and ratings from inside the game with a single mouse click! And this works already

While we are hopeful that both Jim and Tom may again one day rate fighters for the sim, nothing has been worked out in that regard. My intention at this juncture is to form a team of raters from our knowledgeable fan base here that will rate, test and upload files to the database noted above. This will be a vast improvement in terms of you being able to find the files that you are looking for but we cannot make a promise to provide anything resembling regular updates for fighter files at this time.

I'm very happy about the help which I'm getting from Chris (conn chris) and Mike (mh2365). During the last weeks both of them helped me with several difficult decisions. Chris and Mike are now part of the TB development team, and I'm looking forward to a productive future with them, with you and with the whole Title Bout community!

Title Bout steps into the ring again
I just wanted to add also my warmest congratulations to Andreas! This came as quite a surprise to hear all this but I feel it is going to mean many more great things in the future for TBCB! Congrats to also to Chris and Mike. I look forward to what you both will help bring to the new developements for the game. YOu 3 and many others on these boards have done a lot to make this a really great game to enjoy and make these boards here a really great community of players and contributers that truely enjoy being associated with!
